Airport transfer
Cochin Airport to Vagamon Taxi
Three hours to a set of grass hills that look nothing like the rest of Kerala. Vagamon is what people go to when they have already done Munnar, or when they want the hills without the tour buses. The last twenty kilometres climb steeply through pine.

Night running — driving between 10pm and 6am adds ₹315 once, shown as its own line. An airport pickup at 2am counts.
Flight delays — give us the flight number and we track it. The driver waits and the fare does not change.
Stops on the way — the ones named below cost nothing extra. Tell the driver at the start so he paces the drive.
Worth knowing
What we tell people booking Vagamon
The route runs via Muvattupuzha, Thodupuzha, Erattupetta, Teekoy. These are the things that actually change how the day goes.
-
The meadows, the pine forest and Kurisumala are within six kilometres of each other. Half a day covers all three properly.
-
Vagamon fogs over from about 3pm in season and you will see nothing. Get there by lunchtime.
-
Paragliding operates from the meadows in season, weather permitting, and it is genuinely weather-dependent — do not build a trip around it.
-
Accommodation is thinner than Munnar and books out on weekends. Midweek is a different place entirely.
Questions
Cochin airport to Vagamon, answered
How far is Vagamon from Cochin airport?
About 115 km. Three hours through Thodupuzha and Erattupetta.
Vagamon or Munnar?
Munnar for tea estates, more to see and more infrastructure. Vagamon for grass hills, pine forest and far fewer people. Vagamon is also an hour closer.
Is Vagamon good for a day trip from Kochi?
Possible but tight — three hours each way leaves you four hours there. A night makes far more sense, and lets you see the meadows before the afternoon fog.
