Airport transfer
Cochin Airport to Alleppey Taxi
Two hours down NH 66, almost all of it dual carriageway. The most common reason people take this run is a houseboat check-in, which happens at noon — so a morning landing works out neatly and an afternoon one does not.

What it costs
Every vehicle we run to Alleppey, priced
One-way drop from Cochin International Airport. Each figure includes tolls and 5% GST, and it is the figure you pay — we confirm it in writing before you travel.
| Vehicle | Seats | Bags | One-way fare |
|---|---|---|---|
| Swift Dzire Sedan · AC | 4 | 2 | ₹3,468 |
| Toyota Innova MUV · AC | 6+1 | 4 | ₹4,389 |
| Innova Crysta Premium MUV · Dual AC | 6+1 | 5 | ₹5,246 |
| Tata Winger Van · AC | 12 | 10 | ₹5,888 |
| Force Urbania Luxury van · Dual AC | 17 | 14 | ₹7,816 |
| Force Traveller Mini coach · AC | 26 | 20 | ₹9,530 |
What is included — the drive, the driver, fuel, tolls on this route and 5% GST. The car returns to Nedumbassery empty and you are charged for part of that run, not all of it.
Night running — driving between 10pm and 6am adds ₹315 once, shown as its own line. An airport pickup at 2am counts.
Flight delays — give us the flight number and we track it. The driver waits and the fare does not change.
Stops on the way — the ones named below cost nothing extra. Tell the driver at the start so he paces the drive.
Worth knowing
What we tell people booking Alleppey
The route runs via Aroor, Cherthala, NH 66. These are the things that actually change how the day goes.
-
Houseboats board at 12 noon and cast off around 12:30. Land after 11am and you will be paying for a boat you are not on. We will say so before you book.
-
The Aroor–Cherthala stretch is the fastest road in the state and also where the speed cameras are. Our drivers stick to the limit; if the trip runs ten minutes longer, that is why.
-
For the backwaters proper, ask for the Punnamada or Kainakary jetty rather than "Alleppey" — the town boat basin is a different place and twenty minutes away.
-
Marari beach is fifteen minutes short of Alleppey town. If your hotel is there, say so — it saves a doubling back.
Questions
Cochin airport to Alleppey, answered
How long does it take to reach Alleppey from Cochin airport?
About two hours for 85 km, nearly all of it on NH 66. Traffic through Aroor in the evening peak can add twenty minutes.
Will I make a noon houseboat check-in?
If you land by 9:30am, comfortably. Land after 11am and you will miss the cast-off — tell us your flight number and we will tell you straight whether it works.
Is the taxi fare to Alleppey fixed?
Yes. The figure on this page includes tolls and 5% GST, and it is confirmed on WhatsApp before you travel. Nothing is added at the destination.
Can the driver wait while we do the backwaters and take us back?
Yes — that becomes a day hire rather than a drop, and it is cheaper than two one-way transfers. Ask and we will quote both.
